WHAT WE COLLECT
Normal site use: no visitor tracking. To select the featured photo, the site keeps anonymous per-photo counts of full-image opens in hourly buckets for seven days. These counts are not linked to accounts, email addresses, IP addresses, or cookies. Older counts are removed when the homepage is visited or a photo is opened.
Fan accounts: the site stores your handle, optional account-recovery email, chosen name color, mailing-list choice, account dates, moderation role or ban status, and a salted password hash. Your actual passphrase is never stored. An expiring, HTTP-only session cookie keeps you signed in.
Account recovery: if you request a passphrase reset, your recovery email is sent to Resend solely to deliver the message. The one-time reset token is stored as a hash, expires after 20 minutes, and is invalidated after use.
Comments and moderation: the site publicly displays your fan handle, chosen color, assigned staff role (if any), comment text, replies, and posting time. Comments are tied to your signed-in account. You can delete your own comments; administrators and moderators can remove comments that break the rules. Temporary or permanent bans are stored by the site and end active sessions.
Comment likes: one like per account, per comment, across devices. We keep a private, coded account-to-comment record solely to prevent repeat likes. These records are protected with a server-only secret; they do not contain names, email addresses, IP addresses, or like timestamps. This is account-linked data, not anonymous voting. Only totals are public; you can see your own liked state while signed in. There is no list of who liked a comment. The records remain while the comment exists and are removed when it is deleted. Separate account-wide spam counters contain no comment IDs, expire within an hour, and are cleared when likes are used again.
Mailing list: only people who submit the mailing-list form or check the separate account-signup box are opted in. The email address is sent to Kit for confirmation and PHODUNK email delivery. Kit processes it under its own privacy terms, and every message includes an unsubscribe option.
Purchases: payment, shipping, and order details are submitted directly to the selected checkout provider and handled under that provider’s privacy terms. This site does not receive or store card details.
